Tennis Pro Had, Er, Didn't Have Duchovny Fling

After seemingly confirming it to a British tabloid on Sunday, David Duchovny's tennis instructor told E! Online yesterday the two never had an affair. “There is no romance, and we are just friends,” Edit Pakay says. But the denial comes after Pakay, 28, told the Daily Mail, “I am not going to deny it.” Duchovny’s lawyer says Pakay told him the Mail story is “all lies and deceit.”

“Edit Pakay met with me personally before this article came out and told me she never had a sexual or romantic relationship with David,” says Stanton Stein, promising legal action on behalf of the 48-year-old actor. “The last time that I met up with David Duchovny was almost a year ago, when we made plans to play tennis,” Pakay says.
