Cheating Wives Blogs: Bragging or Therapy?
"Infidelity blogging" has become a large part of the ever-growing online confessions scene.   (Shutter Stock)

Women's "infidelity blogs" have surged in number in recent years and they're attracting a large and loyal following, the Independent reports. The bloggers say they're not trying to flaunt their affairs, but rather to use anonymity to share details of their secret lives and find support among like-minded people. "I feel there is a definite lack of space for women to say the unsayable," says the founder of True Wife Confessions.

"Infidelity is an extremely isolating experience," says one blogger, a married woman having an affair with a married man. "Apart from the moments of intensity you share with your lover, you are unable to share the experience with anyone else in your life, including those closest to you." Some bloggers share feelings of guilt, but many say their consciences are clean. "Maybe we've been pushed far enough in our real lives that it just doesn't feel wrong," writes one blogger going by the name Ms. Scarlett.
