The dollar may be continuing its slow, steady decline against the euro, but many analysts are looking on the bright side, Business Week reports. American stocks, companies, investors, and workers can all benefit from the decreasing value of their currency, economists say, with one calling the dollar’s decline “something to cheer about.”

US-based companies that rely heavily on foreign consumers win because of the strength of international markets, as do American investors whose portfolios dabble in overseas stocks. Some experts say smaller, less-diversified companies don’t fare as well, but others argue the declines help them, too, by the raising foreign competitors’ costs. The plummeting dollar even decelerates the outsourcing of US labor. (More euro stories.)
