Rudy Takes Call During NRA Speech

Did the missus really phone as he massaged the 2nd Amendment?

Rudy Giuliani, former gun control-lover,  wasn't exactly killing with a speech to the National Rifle Association today when he interrupted his remarks at the podium—to take a phone call from his wife. After a little lovey-dovey with Judith ("OK, have a safe trip, bye-bye. Talk to you later dear, I love you.") he turned back to his audience.

"Well this is one of the great blessings of the modern age, being always available," Giuliani burbled. "Or maybe it isn't, I'm not sure." Chicago Tribune blogger Frank James was amused until he learned that the GOP hopeful did the same thing at a speech in June. Looks like he “does it for laughs,” blogs James. Then again, maybe the guy just needed a deep breath. (More Rudy Giuliani stories.)
