We don’t know the real truth behind the 9/11 attacks, Utah congressman Jason Chaffetz said at a town-hall meeting yesterday. Asked by a group that believes “it was a false flag terrorist attack, that the buildings came down with internally placed demolition,” the Republican said, “there’s still a lot to learn about what happened and what didn’t happen, we should be vigilant and continue to investigate that, absolutely.”

Chaffetz is a friend and frequent guest of righty talker Glenn Beck, Lee Fang points out for ThinkProgress, adding that Beck has denounced so-called 9/11 truthers as “disturbed” and indeed accused former Obama adviser Van Jones of signing a petition plugged by such a group. Asks Fang: “Will Beck be consistent with his quest to call out public officials on 9/11 trutherism, and demand that Chaffetz resign as well?” Check the video above for the full Q&A.
