An electrical fire broke out in the basement of the Manhattan courthouse where Lil Wayne was to be sentenced today, postponing the rapper’s big day. Three people sustained minor injuries in the fire, which started at 10:30 this morning. Hundreds were evacuated, and the court’s afternoon docket cleared. There was a “little fire, but no Lil Wayne,” a court spokesman quipped.

But Wayne isn’t happy about the delay, said his defense attorney. “Once you make up your mind to do something, you want to do it,” she said. The sentencing has been rescheduled for 2:15 tomorrow, reports Billboard. He's expected to receive a year in jail. Lil Wayne's first sentencing on the weapons charge got postponed so he could have dental surgery.
