(Newser) – Terrorists planted yet another bomb in a crowded bar in the Ugandan capital last night, but police foiled the attempted attack following a tip off from the bar's management. "A cell phone kept ringing from the bag and when an attendant opened the bag, the phone was attached to several wires," a security source told the Wall Street Journal. The homemade bomb could have exploded had anyone tried to answer the phone.

The attempt is the latest to rock Uganda, after a pair of bombs targeting World Cup revelers in the capital city of Kampala killed at least 76 people Sunday. Police believe the Somali militant group al-Shabab is behind the recent attacks in Kampala. At least two people have been arrested in connection with the bombings.
