(Newser) – Seekers of Ponzi scheme memorabilia will be able to snap up more of Bernard Madoff's possessions at an auction next month. The shamed financier's Steinway grand piano, silverware, and even his monogrammed slippers will be on the auction block. The proceeds will be used to repay victims of his multi-billion-dollar scam, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The items to be sold include a diamond engagement ring believed to have belonged to Ruth Madoff and expected to fetch more than $500,000. The auction is selling off the last of the possessions from Madoff's New York homes. The last of his Palm Beach possessions will be sold off next year. A similar auction of Madoff possessions last year fetched $1 million, double what was predicted.
