The Taco Bell beef war just won't stop—and now Washington has gotten involved. Sen. Jon Tester yesterday issued a statement pushing his state's meat as superior to the fast food chain's. "When I go to a restaurant, I expect the beef I order to be beef—not 'filler'—and my guess is most Montanans, and Americans feel the same way," wrote the Democrat. And lucky for Taco Bell, Tester has a solution!

"Montana's ranchers raise the best cattle in the world. If Taco Bell needs to beef up, they can give their customers the highest quality meat around by using Montana beef, and in the process, supporting agriculture jobs in Montana. And that's a win-win." The Huffington Post notes that Tester is up for reelection in 2012 ... so any spike in his home state's beef sales would likely bode well for him. Click here for more on the beef-or-not debacle.
