It was only a matter of time: While other potential 2012 candidates have been suspended from their gigs at Fox News, Donald Trump has signed up for one. He’ll make a weekly appearance on a Fox & Friends segment called “Mondays With Trump,” reports Mediaite. “The Donald now makes his voice loud and clear on Fox,” the network announces. In true Trump style, he’ll be "brash, never bashful."

That much is already clear: In the ad, Trump informs us that "my message is better than anybody else’s." Despite his political aspirations, there’s not necessarily a conflict-of-interest issue here, notes Mediaite: Fox is advertising “a regular appearance, not a contract." Still, it "is surprising to see a potential presidential candidate assume a media role so close to the election," writes Frances Martel. (New gig, new look? Maybe he should take Oprah up on her offer...)
