Newborn puppies locked in a suitcase and left to die in a cupboard have been reunited big, happy, and healthy. It was too late to save five of the black-and-white mixed breed pups when British animal control officers discovered them in a breeder's home. But seven survivors were nursed back to health and adopted by loving homes, and the new owners held a reunion party, reuniting the dogs for the first time since their ordeal more than two years ago. The breeder has been banned from ever owning animals, and was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, reports the Telegraph. (More animal cruelty stories.)
