Rick Nash, Sergei Fedorov and Jason Chimera each recorded a goal and an assist as the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Blackhawks 4-2 last night. The Blue Jackets, 6-2-1 at home, are now second in the Central Division. Columbus is 7-1-1 when scoring first.

Elsewhere in the league:

  • Vincent Lecavalier recorded his fifth career hat trick as the Lightning defeated the Hurricanes 6-1.
  • The Stars lost 4-3 to the Sharks after failing to score on a power play in overtime.
  • The Oilers got the best of the Canucks in a 1-0 victory.
