Silvio Berlusconi, who should probably be worried about rescuing Italy from financial ruin, has been caught boasting on tape of having sex with eight women in one night—and lamenting that he did not have the energy to get around to three more who were waiting for him, reports the Telegraph. "I only managed to do eight of them, I couldn't manage any more. You just can't get round to all of them," said the Italian PM in the latest leaked wiretaps. "But this morning I feel great, I'm pleased with my stamina."
"No one understands why the premier is dedicating a good deal of his time to questions not related to fighting the economic crisis and relaunching the economy," said one Italian politician. An opposition politician described the latest tapes as "squalid and disturbing," calling Berlusconi a "sick man." And there could be worse revelations to come—the Italian newspaper that printed the leaks said it had omitted "the heavier or more vulgar passages, as well as detailed sexual descriptions."
