It's a bad day for bizarre violence. Earlier, we heard about karaoke-inspired fisticuffs; now an apparent Facebook-based argument has led to an attack. A Texas man who reportedly said he was furious at his estranged wife for not "liking" his Facebook status allegedly punched her in the face and pulled her hair on Monday, the Current-Argus reports. He was charged with battery but pleaded not guilty.

Benito Apolinar had come to his wife Dolores' house to drop off their kids, police said. He was reportedly drunk, she reportedly wanted him to leave, and the two began fighting—over a Facebook status update, he told police. Dolores says Benito was angry that she hadn't responded to his post commemorating the anniversary of his mother's death. "That's amazing everyone 'likes' my status but you, you're my wife. You should be the first one to 'like' my status," he reportedly told her. He says Dolores hit herself in the face. (More Facebook stories.)
