It looks like Joe Paterno isn't going to survive the child sex abuse scandal at Penn State after all. The New York Times, citing two anonymous sources, reports that he could be done as football coach in a matter of days or weeks, and notes that the school canceled a press conference Paterno was supposed to hold today less than an hour before its start time. Paterno, 84, has come under fire for not calling the police when he got a report in 2002 that Jerry Sandusky, a former defensive coordinator under Paterno, molested a boy. Paterno did alert his superiors, but the matter didn't go much further. Two top school officials have been charged with perjury and failure to notify authorities. (More Joe Paterno stories.)
