Suspected Taylor Shooter, 17, Charged as Adult
Undated photos provided by the Miami-Dade Police Department shows the four suspects, Venjah K. Hunte, 20, Jason Scott Mitchell, 17, Eric Rivera, Jr., 17, and Charles Kendrick Lee Wardlow, 18, arrested Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, in connection with the shooting death of Washington Redskins football player...   (Associated Press)

The youngest of four suspects in the murder of NFL star Sean Taylor is alleged to have fired the fatal shot, CNN reports, and has been indicted as an adult though he's just 17. Eric Rivera Jr. appeared in a Miami court today on charges of first-degree felony murder and burglary with assault or battery with a firearm.

The suspects—ages 20, 19, and 18—are being held without bail and are reported to be under suicide watch. Rivera’s attorney said his client would likely attempt to reach a plea deal with prosecutors in the case. Taylor, the 24-year-old Washington Redskins safety, died a day after being shot at his home Nov. 26 in an apparent burglary. (More Sean Taylor stories.)
