Security guards stopped a knife-wielding man from stabbing Finland's prime minister while he was campaigning for municipal elections, a government spokesman said today. The man was stopped before he was able to reach Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen. The attempted attack occurred in the southwestern city of Turku, where Katainen was campaigning ahead of Sunday's municipal elections. The prime minister was not hurt. (More Jyrki Katainen stories.)
