A Norwegian black-metal musician and alleged sympathizer of mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik has been arrested in France on what authorities say was suspicion he could be planning "a large terrorist act." Prosecutors identified the suspect as Varg Vikernes, a neo-Nazi who earned notoriety in the 1990s after he was convicted of manslaughter in the stabbing death of a fellow member of the band Mayhem and of arson attacks on three churches. Authorities say Vikernes received Breivik's manifesto accusing Muslims of destroying European society, and his "violent" Internet postings were proof he posed a potential threat. Vikernes' French wife, who had recently acquired four rifles, was also arrested. (More Varg Vikernes stories.)
