Woman Attacked— by Stray Cat Mob

Cats can be cute and cuddly—or roving bands of terrorists. Just ask a French woman who was attacked by a band of wild felines while walking her poodle in Belfort last week. She didn't just emerge with a few scratches, "it was a living nightmare," her mother said, according to the Local. "They jumped on her and managed to knock her over. The wild cats bit her on the leg and on her arms. They even pierced an artery."

The woman was taken to the hospital for a precautionary rabies shot while her poodle, also injured, headed to the vet. "The vet told us that, in his 20 years in the job, he had never seen such a thing. He couldn’t find a single explanation for the cats' abnormal behavior," the mother said, noting her daughter is "still traumatized today—and is bordering on depression." (Read more cats stories.)
