Daniel Alfredsson had his sixth career hat trick plus four assists to lead the Ottawa Senators to an 8-4 rout of the Tampa Bay Lightning last night, reports the Ottawa Sun. The seven points gives Alfredsson 67 for the season, tops in the NHL. The win snapped a three-game Ottawa losing streak. “It was a fun night,” said Alfredsson. In other NHL action:

  • The Sharks scored three times in the third to beat the Blues, 4-1. Jonathan Cheechoo scored two of the goals.
  • The Los Angeles Kings ended a four-game skid to the Anaheim Ducks as Derek Armstrong had a goal and an assist in 3-1 win.
