Norman Oosterbroek has acted as bodyguard to Nelson Mandela, Jay Z, and Lady Gaga. The security firm he founded had a long list of famous clients, and he was known as one of the best in the business. But Florida police say that somehow the 43-year-old ended up naked and beating a neighbor while ingesting drugs Monday night; police tased him, and he was pronounced dead a short time later, the Miami Herald reports. Oosterbroek, six-foot-five and 280 pounds, had always had drug problems and had done a few stints in rehab, authorities say. Things seemed to improve in 2009 when he married his longtime girlfriend, with whom he has two children. She wouldn't comment on his death.

A neighbor says she spotted Oosterbroek staring at her from her back door Monday, and when her husband confronted him, Oosterbroek allegedly started beating the man. "He was highly violent, uncontrollable, and obviously wasn’t stable," says a police spokesperson, who says officers responded appropriately because Oosterbroek was also attacking them. Authorities suspect he was using cocaine at the time. Neighbors say he and his family had just recently moved in. (Interesting side note: Oosterbroek once broke both the legs of a man who jumped on stage at a Jay Z concert.)
