A woman who went way too far in trying to foil her brother's wedding day and a potential break in a cold case are on the list:

  • Woman Cancels Brother's Wedding, Goes to Jail: A UK woman who really, really didn't like her brother's fiancee impersonated the woman and canceled their wedding. Result: Eight weeks in jail and a restraining order. But there's an even weirder twist.
  • 39 Years After Sisters Vanish, Suspect Named: Sheila Lyon, 12, and her sister Katherine, 10, went to see an Easter exhibit at a Maryland shopping mall on March 25, 1975, and were never seen again. Some 39 years later, police say they think they know who killed them and are asking the public for help.

  • Son-in-Law Arrested in Tennessee Bombing: When a bomb killed a retired lawyer and his wife in their rural Tennessee home, neighbors speculated that they must have been mistaken targets. After all, who would go after Jon and Marion Setzer, both in their 70s? Now authorities say their son-in-law would.
  • Ohio Man Accused of Trying to Buy Girl: A federal grand jury has indicted a 37-year-old Ohio man who police say tried to buy a 10-year-old "wife" for $400. Robert W. Thomas Jr. allegedly posted an ad seeking a young bride online last month, but the only response he got was from police.
  • Man Jailed Over Lame Plot to Kill Prince Harry: A man was jailed for three years this over a plan to kill Prince Harry ... but his murder plot was, as the judge put it, "vague and unlikely to succeed" at best, comical at worst. Ashraf Islam, a con man from Northern Ireland formerly known as Mark David Townley, first did "research" on Harry, meaning he did a few Internet searches on the young royal's whereabouts, schedule, and security team. It didn't get much better from there.
