Joey Meek, the 21-year-old friend of Dylann Roof with whom Roof lived shortly before he allegedly killed nine people at a Charleston church in June, was arrested today. Meek's girlfriend, Lindsey Fry, tells the State FBI agents picked him up at work. Meek, who once hid Roof's gun because he was concerned about comments Roof made and called police when he recognized Roof on surveillance photos, had been informed last month that he was the potential target of a federal criminal investigation related to the shootings, but he insists he did nothing wrong. Meek called Fry as the agents were picking him up, she says. "He just said, ‘They want to talk to me, but I think I’m going to jail.'" Click for more on why authorities were interested in Meek.
