Female financial advisers make 56% of what men do: 24/7 Wall St.

(Newser) 24/7 Wall St. is marking women's history month by drawing attention to the gender pay gap as it relates to specific jobs. It finds that women in some cases get paid about half of what men do in an average week for the same full-time wage and salary jobs. The worst-paying jobs for women, with their percentage of men's earnings:

  1. Personal financial advisers: 56%
  2. Insurance sales agents: 58%
  3. Physicians and surgeons: 63%
  4. Real estate agents and brokers: 64%
  5. Securities, commodities, and financial services sales agents: 65%
  6. Marketing and sales managers: 65%
  7. Administrative services managers: 68%
  8. Other sales representatives: 69%
  9. Teachers and instructors: 69%
  10. Financial managers: 69%
