Liberty (or is it Justice?) is injured. But don't fret: The bald eagle is expected to be back flying over Washington, DC, before long. The bird—believed to be one of a pair, named Liberty and Justice, who've long lived at the Metropolitan Police Academy, per the Washington Post—was found soaked and stressed in a bush near the academy on Saturday, following a thunderstorm, reports NPR. Animal rescuers said the eagle "demonstrated labored breathing, lethargy and was unable to fly." Once dried off at a clinic, however, the eagle appeared to be "in good condition," but it was sent to another clinic in Delaware for further tests. If all is well, the eagle could be back home to its nest this week. (More bald eagle stories.)
