A man was reportedly pulled over on a California freeway, where police say they found him riding a horse. According to the California Highway Patrol, Luis Perez was discovered on the white steed in Bellflower, where he was stopped. The Placentia man was administered a field sobriety test, which officers allege he failed, per CBS Los Angeles. When his blood alcohol level was tested, it allegedly registered at twice the legal limit for operating a vehicle. Police arrested Perez, who's been charged with a DUI. Authorities say the horse was unharmed and placed in the care of the suspect's mother. The CHP posted photos of the odd arrest on social media, along with a message to the public. "Don’t put yourself, your beautiful animal, or others in danger of being killed in traffic," the agency wrote. Perez has been held in lieu of over $50,000 bail. (Read more horse stories.)
