Speakers Bureau Drops Corey Lewandowski

Corey Lewandowski has been dropped by one of Washington, DC's top speakers bureaus, days after he said "Womp womp" while a fellow Fox guest talked about a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome who had been separated from her mother. Leading Authorities Inc. books speakers for engagements that can pay up to six figures, CNN reports. GQ reports that Lewandowski, President Trump's former campaign manager, has also cancelled a Michigan rally with pro-Trump YouTube stars Diamond and Silk.

Lewandowski, amid heavy criticism, has refused to apologize for his comment. On Thursday, he retweeted Mark Hamills' comment that instead of "Womp womp" he really "made the sad-trombone sound: 'Wah-Wahh!', a commonplace comic sound-effect." Lewandowski said: "You hear well, young Skywalker." (More Corey Lewandowski stories.)
