Amazon Prime Day Is Coming. Except Now It's Prime Days

CNET wonders if Amazon Prime Day may eventually morph into Amazon Prime Month, and it's a reasonable assumption to make considering the company's latest announcement. While last year the annual shopping event ran for a longer-than-usual 36 hours, this year's version is surpassing that, with a spree that starts at midnight PDT on July 15 and runs for 48 hours. This is the fifth year Amazon will be offering the sale, which will include more than 1 million deals around the globe for Prime customers.

"We're confident that there's a great experience waiting for each and every Prime member this year," Prime VP Cem Sibay says. Prime Day is among the company's three biggest sales days of the year, along with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The sale will be available to customers in the US and nearly 20 other countries, including the UK, Canada, France, and, for the first time, the UAE.
