Ed Sheeran released a new album Friday, and during an interview to promote it, mentioned that, oh, yes, he's married now. The Sun reported in February that Sheeran had married Cherry Seaborn, in December, a year after they became engaged. But the singer hadn't confirmed that until a video interview Friday with Charlamagne Tha God, People reports. Asked about the lyrics to "Remember the Name," which include "My wife wears red, but looks better without the lipstick," Sheeran dropped the news. "It was actually before me and Cherry got married, and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out," he said.

The couple had a celebrity-free wedding, per the Sun, with about 40 guests. They were planning a bigger party for sometime this summer. Sheeran, 28, met Seaborn when he was 11 at school, but they didn't date until he took her to Taylor Swift's Fourth of July party in 2015. Seaborn, 26, was a field hockey star in England and at Duke University. The wedding was reported to have taken place at Sheeran's country estate in Suffolk, England. The album, No.6 Collaboration Project, reflects its name, with 15 songs that include another artist, such as Justin Bieber, Eminem, and 50 Cent. Variety says some of the collaborations work better than others, and GQ says the album has the feel "of a middling Super Bowl halftime show." Project might very well get him that gig, the review says. (More Ed Sheeran stories.)
