Wife Won't Like Florida Man's Excuse for Speeding
John Earl Pickard   (Pinellas County Jail)

A Florida man caught driving recklessly told police he "needed to get home in a hurry because he was cheating on his wife." That's according to an arrest affidavit naming John Earl Pickard, 52, who Tarpon Springs police say was driving 90mph in a 55mph zone on Route 19 on Sunday. In addition to the marital infidelity, Pickard "spontaneously" admitted to paying $50 for crack cocaine found in a baggie in his T-shirt pocket, the affidavit reads, per Newsweek. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on misdemeanor reckless driving and felony drug possession before posting $2,250 bond, per Fox News. No word if his wife picked him up.
