Joe Biden got a little frustrated with protesters at a town hall event Thursday and even told one of them to go "vote for Trump," Fox News reports. Speaking before roughly 800 people at Lander University in Greenwood, SC, Biden was confronted by an immigration activist who compared President Trump's immigration policy to President Obama's. "In 2008 I was a volunteer for Obama because I had hope and I believed in the promises to the immigrant community," said the activist, Carlos Rojas, of the Cosecha Movement. "The fact is that over those eight years there were three million people who were deported and separated from their families." Biden shot back, "You should vote for Trump" as he turned away from Rojas.

"No, I'm not going to do that, but I want to make sure that immigrant families … are not afraid and you have the power as a candidate to actually commit to stop all deportations from day one from executive action, and we want to hear you say that," said Rojas. Biden then said people who perpetrate felonies should be deported, prompting a group of protesters to chant "Not one more deportation." Biden promised "no family separations" if he becomes president, and someone retorted, "That's a lie." USA Today notes that Biden also touted Obama's DACA program and said that while he doesn't support decriminalizing border crossings, he would "make sure that US immigration law is enforced humanely."
