For Priscilla Drobes, it was a day from hell—but she can take solace in the outpouring over her terrible bout of nerves on Jeopardy!, Today reports. The stay-at-home mom was clearly nervous on Thursday's episode, answering correctly only twice, failing to make Final Jeopardy, and wrapping up with negative $5,400. "Priscilla, I think nerves got the best of you today," said host Alex Trebek. "You were just so nervous." Former contestant Chris Jacobs saw Trebek talking to her after the game, but couldn't hear what was said. Among the reactions on Twitter:

  • Matt Carberry: "Priscilla took and passed the same #Jeopardy test and audition as every other contestant on the show. She absolutely deserved to be on that stage. Today just wasn't her day."
  • Jasmine: "Priscilla from @Jeopardy tonight, if you're out there, I want you to know that you're a brave woman for putting yourself out there and I have nothing but respect for you to have stayed on that stage when I'm sure you wanted to run."
  • Eric Backes, former Jeopardy champ : "Dear Priscilla. Your fellow @Jeopardy contestants love you. Anyone who says anything unkind has never been where you were."
  • Chris Jacobs, in string of 15 tweets about Drobes: "But after having watched that interaction between Alex and Priscilla—albeit at a distance—I couldn’t help but think that if a 79-year-old battling pancreatic cancer had told me there are bigger things to worry about than a bad game of @Jeopardy, I would probably listen."
A Yahoo Sports puts it: "Plus she got to be on national television and go home with $1,000. So in the end, maybe it wasn't such a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day." (Otherwise, Jeopardy had an amazing week.)
