A British man who fled the US after his wife and baby daughter were shot to death in their home was convicted of murder today by a Massachusetts jury. Neil Entwistle’s lawyer had argued that the wife killed her 9-month old baby and herself. Prosecutors said Entwistle was in debt and dissatisfied with his sex life when he killed his family in their bed and then left for England.

The defense introduced no witnesses at trial. Entwistle said he returned the gun to his father-in-law's home because he wanted to preserve his wife's honor. (More murder stories.)
