DC’s hottest tickets are to Tuesday's Inauguration, and with only 240,000 available, scalped tickets are starting to show up on Craigslist, Politico reports. Says an economist, “You can’t stop supply and demand.” But congressional offices, which distribute the tickets, are trying. “It’s the congresswoman’s policy not to distribute Inauguration tickets to anyone who intends to sell them,” says a spokesman for one Illinois lawmaker.

Why sell the tickets? “I just hope to pay for my motel,” says a visitor from Florida whose friends bailed. One Utah college student just plain doesn’t like Obama. "I would rather not be around thousands of teary-eyed people who think they are having a spiritual experience because their lord and savior is speaking to them."
