Facebook to Boost Staff 50%

Facebook is planning to expand its 1,000-strong staff by up to 50% this year, Mark Zuckerberg says, taking advantage of a surplus of engineers in a weak job market. In an interview with Bloomberg, the 25-year-old CEO also says he wants to turn a profit by next year, in part by clamping down on costs. "The thing I want to remind people of is we’re way closer to the beginning than the end," he says.
