John Daly, outraged over a Florida Times-Union article yesterday, published the cell phone number of the journalist who wrote it on Twitter. “Call and flood his line and let’s tell him how we feel,” he urged his followers. He then sent two more tweets complaining about the story. “This isn’t journalism, it’s paparrazi—like gossip,” he tweeted. Later, he posted the phone number again.

The article details Daly’s PGA Tour disciplinary file, which became public record when the lawsuit Daly filed against the tour was dismissed. It cites, among various alleged Daly misdeeds, several occasions on which the Tour asked him to seek counseling or alcohol rehabilitation. The writer, Garry Smits, tells ESPN he’s gotten about 30 calls on the story, but none have been unusual or threatening. Daly’s tweets have been removed. (More John Daly stories.)
