The 9-year-old twins who were caught helping their dad direct traffic at JFK are devastated that their pop lost his job—and are blaming themselves. "They feel it's their fault," their uncle, Larry Johnstone, tells the Daily News. "They're thinking, 'Daddy's in trouble because of me.'" The family has faced a firestorm of criticism since the incident and are "a wreck," Johnstone says.

Johnstone defended his brother-in-law's decision to let his kids call the shots at the airport. "We all bring our kids to work," he says "that just happens to be his profession." The controller, Glenn Duffy, let the kids talk to pilots as they prepared for takeoff. One pilot told Duffy's daughter she'd done an "awesome job."
