Looks like the tea party is going with the old "I'm rubber and you're glue" defense to the NAACP's accusation that it harbors racists. Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams got into a heated back-in-forth on CNN yesterday, in which anchor Roland Martin challenged him to tell racists they weren't welcome in the movement. Williams' reply? "Racists have their own movement. It's called the NAACP. A bunch of old fossils looking to make a buck off skin color."

You can read the whole transcript at the Huffington Post. But if you're trying to remember where you've heard the name "Mark Williams" before, it might have been when he derided Muslims for worshiping a "monkey god."
