Christine O’Donnell thinks she lost because Karl Rove and the GOP establishment didn’t get behind her fast enough. In an interview with CNN, she called her loss a “symptom of Republican cannibalism,” noting that the whole Republican ticket lost in Delaware. “There was this infighting,” she complained. “We could have, you know, taken a lesson from the Democrats when Hillary, you know, immediately got behind Obama after that bloody primary. You know, we should have done that.”

At least one Republican was happy to dance on O’Donnell’s grave: In an interview with Jay Leno last night, Meghan McCain said O’Donnell was “out of her frickin’ mind, so I’m glad she’s not in the Senate.” To which Leno replied, “She’ll have to get a job now.” And we already know one employer who’s not interested. Despite speculation that O’Donnell would make a natural pundit, Fox News tells Mediaite that it “has no plans to hire her.” (More Christine O'Donnell stories.)
