Highest-Paid CEOs of the Year

Last year was a tough one—but the nation’s top-earning CEOs had little to complain about when it came to pay. The Wall Street Journal lists the bosses with the highest direct compensation at companies whose annual revenue broke $4 billion for the year ending Sept. 30, 2010:

7. Raymond Elliott, Boston Scientific, $32.1 million
8. Ralph Lauren, Polo Ralph Lauren, $27 million
9. John Hammergren, McKesson, $24.5 million
10. Louis Camilleri, Philip Morris, $24 million
