John McCain, Lindsey Graham: Sure, Kill Gadhafi

If NATO forces happen to kill Moammar Gadhafi, count Lindsey Graham and John McCain among those who won't be shedding a tear, reports Politico. "We should be taking out his command and control," McCain said today. "If he is killed or injured because of that, that's fine." And despite international laws against assassinating foreign leaders, Graham says such a move is legal because "In my view, he's not a foreign leader, he's a murderer. He is a legitimate military target." Elsewhere on the Sunday dial:

  • Donald Trump's ears may still be ringing from last night's White House Correspondents' Dinner, but Graham wants to wash his mouth out with soap: "Most Americans don't want their president going around saying the 'f-word,' so Mr Trump (will) have a tough sell in South Carolina."
  • Trump "is having a lot of fun," says McCain. "But we have very serious candidates. All of this is so unnecessary."
  • Michael Bloomberg has the perfect illegal immigration solution: Let "immigrants come in as long as they agree to go to Detroit and live there for five to 10 years, start businesses, take jobs or whatever. You would populate Detroit overnight because half the world wants to come here."
