A man in Leicester, England, has submitted a vital Freedom of Information Act request to the city council. “Can you please let us know what provisions you have in place in the event of a zombie invasion?” Robert Ainsley asked, according to the Telegraph. “Having watched several films it is clear that preparation for such an event is poor and one that councils throughout the kingdom must prepare for.”

The council hasn’t yet responded, raising suspicions that it may not even have a zombie invasion plan. Its head of information governance seemed to confirm that yesterday. “Unfortunately there’s nothing in there … saying how we would respond to zombies,” she said. “But you could look at it in more depth and say, ‘Which parts of the emergency plan could you apply to a zombie invasion?’” She added that the town would respond, as it is legally required to do, no matter how silly the request.
