Contrary to yesterday's report, Rev. Robert H. Schuller, founder of California's Crystal Cathedral, "was not voted off the board," a church spokesperson says. Rather, the board voted to change Schuller's position "from that of a voting board member to the honorary Chairman of the Board Emeritus, a non-voting position," according to a statement released by the church.

The move will give Schuller more time to write and take on speaking engagements, the spokesperson explains, and he will still speak at the church and on Hour of Power. Schuller's son, Robert Anthony Schuller, had claimed the founder was ousted after he proposed adding new board members, the Los Angeles Times reports. Schuller's daughter, who is now senior pastor of the bankrupt church, says her father will also "continue to provide leadership for this ministry through me for as long as possible."
