(Newser) – Nigeria's president Goodluck Jonathan warned yesterday that supporters of the violent Islamic group Boko Haram, which organized a wave of bombings over Christmas that killed dozens of people, have infiltrated the government and military at all levels, reports the BBC. "Some of them are in the executive arm of government, some of them are in the parliamentary/legislative arm of government, while some of them are even in the judiciary," said Jonathan. "Some are also in the armed forces, the police, and other security agencies."

"During the civil war, we knew and we could even predict where the enemy was coming from," Jonathan said. "But the challenge we have today is more complicated." Christian groups have complained that the government hasn't done enough to safegaurd them from Boko Haram.
