Five Southern Mississippi band members have been dropped from the group following an offensive chant at a game, GulfLive reports. The students have lost their scholarships and will have sensitivity training after they targeted Kansas State's Angel Rodriguez, shouting, "where's your green card?" Said a Southern Miss official: "The students have been forthcoming, cooperative, contrite and sincerely remorseful. They acted rashly and inappropriately, and now see the gravity of their words and actions," he added, calling it "a teachable moment. (More Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles stories.)
