(DeKalb County Sheriff's Office) One of the leaders of the New Black Panther Party who offered a $10,000 reward for the capture of Trayvon Martin's killer, George Zimmerman, has been jailed on an unrelated weapons charge. Hashim Nzinga, the extremist group's national chief of staff, was arrested during a visit to a probation office, and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Police say Nzinga pawned a handgun, which is a crime for him to possess since his felony conviction last month for deposit fraud.
