Nokia Busted for Faked Ad

Video purportedly shot with phone actually shot with professional camera

Perhaps you have seen the stunning ad for the Nokia PureView camera, in which a man riding a bicycle takes a video of a woman riding beside him armed only with a Lumia 920 and, through the magic of Pureview's image stabilization technology, it looks perfect. Why, if you didn't know better, you'd think it was actually shot with an advanced camera rolling along in a van or something.

Of course, the eagle-eyed folks at the Verge realized that's exactly what was happening. Late in the video, the girl passes a trailer, and in its window, you can see the reflection of the van and a man wielding a camera that is definitely not a Lumia 920. When confronted, Nokia said it was "never the company's intention to deceive anyone" and that it will attempt to add fine print to the ad indicating that the images are simulated.
