Police are investigating after someone anonymously sent racist pictures and other materials to Mia Love, Republican mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, reports the Deseret News. The package was described as "disturbing" and "pretty creepy," and reportedly included fliers, images of a hooded KKK character, and aborted fetuses. "I can say it's racial in nature but I can't tell you it's criminal in nature," said the Saratoga chief of police. Love, who is running for Congress, recently raised her national profile with a speech at the GOP convention.

A city official said they had received racist packages before, but nothing as large and troubling as the latest, which arrived Tuesday. Said Love: "I'm proud of who I am. I know where I'm going and I know what we need to do to get this country back in order again. There isn’t anything that anyone can send me that will distract me from that so they can bring it." She told Fox News she was "disappointed" by the mail, but not surprised, reports Politico. (More Mia Love stories.)
