Bill Loses It, Calls Barack Story 'Fairytale'

'Give me a break,' Clinton sneers at 'charismatic figure'

While his wife was nearly in tears yesterday, Bill Clinton was losing his cool, angrily telling a crowd that the press has given Barack Obama a free ride and that his seductive political narrative is “the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.” The ex-prez said Obama had sanitized his record and both Clintons had been “blistered” by unfair and inaccurate attacks.

By midday the video was everywhere, with political analysts surprised to see the usually smooth former president angry and emotional. ABC’s Jake Tapper described Clinton as “flustered” and said he was “hootin’ and a hollerin’.” Salon’s Tim Grieve said some of Clinton's claims about Obama are on the money, but any suggestion that Hillary is, by comparison, the positive candidate is balderdash.
