Seattle-area residents are being asked to keep an eye out for an unusual creature in that neck of the woods: a wallaby. The 6-year-old marsupial named Bella got out of her kennel while being transferred to a petting zoo in Arlington last Friday, then bolted for freedom across the highway and into the woods, reports Reuters. “We're just so worried that she is going to die of exposure if we don't find her soon,” owner Gayle Van Alstyne tells the Seattle Times. Predators are another concern, given that Bella has never been out in the wild. The 35-pound animal has worked with autistic children and so is used to being around people. (More wallaby stories.)
